Our Brands
Sandro eyewear extends the Parisian fashion house’s aesthetic: refined lines, a balance between understated elegance and character, and frames designed to complement a look rather than dictate it.
Sandro eyewear extends the Parisian fashion house’s aesthetic: refined lines, a balance between understated elegance and character, and frames designed to complement a look rather than dictate it. Founded in Paris in 1984 by Evelyne and Didier Chetrite, the brand initially focused on women’s fashion before launching a men’s range in 2008, under the direction of Ilan Chetrite. It is this interpretation of Parisian style that is reflected today in its accessories, including eyewear. At Olivia Balm, the Sandro range consists exclusively of men’s optical frames, in acetate or metal, to be fitted with your prescription lenses. We prefer to make this clear from the outset: the brand’s sunglasses range is not stocked by us.

A: Sandro is a French fashion house, established in Paris in 1984 in the Sentier district, founded by Evelyne and Didier Chetrite. Its first boutique opened on Rue Vieille du Temple, in the Marais. The men’s range, Sandro Homme, was launched later, in 2008, under the direction of Ilan Chetrite, the founders’ son: it is this range that our selection features.
A: No, our Sandro range currently consists exclusively of prescription glasses. If you’re looking for sunglasses with a masculine, understated style, take a look at Montblanc or Taylor Morris London, both of which feature in our catalogue. Should the brand’s sunglasses range ever be stocked by us, it will appear on this page.
A: Not included in our selection: our five Sandro styles are all listed as men’s. The brand does indeed design a women’s collection – in fact, that was its starting point back in 1984 – but it is not featured here. For a women’s frame in the same Parisian ready-to-wear style, take a look at our Maje selection.
A: The sizes in this selection range from 48 to 53 mm. These frames are therefore better suited to an average or slim face than to a more pronounced facial structure: if you usually wear size 56, they will feel tight at the temples. Before ordering, check the frame size shown on the product page against that of the pair you are currently wearing.
A: For acetate models — SD1037, SD1040 and SD1041 — this is generally the case: the height of the lenses allows for the transition between distance and near vision. The metal pantos SD3000 and SD3018, which are lower in height, require a case-by-case assessment. Please send us your prescription and the relevant product reference, and we will make a decision before you place your order.
