Chloé
When choosing Chloé sunglasses, three criteria take precedence over style: the protection offered by the lenses, their tint and the frame size.
When choosing Chloé sunglasses, three criteria take precedence over style: the protection offered by the lenses, their tint and the frame size. The sunglasses collection features bold acetate frames as well as sleeker metal designs, with silhouettes ranging from aviator styles to square, rectangular or more wraparound shapes. When worn outdoors, these design choices are immediately apparent: nothing softens the colour of the lenses or the surface of the frame. This is also the category where the size of the frame has the greatest impact. It determines the look, the coverage of the eyes, and what can be fitted into the frame if you want sunglasses with your prescription.

ChloéCH0348S359.00 €A: From €239 to €379, including frames and factory-fitted sunglasses lenses, excluding prescription fitting. The CH0226S is the entry-level model and the CH0329S is the top-of-the-range model; the core of the range is priced at €299, where four models are available.
A: The temple widths range from 51 to 62 mm, a significant difference. The two largest models, CH0278S and CH0348S (62 mm), require a wide face to look balanced. For a narrow face, stick to between 51 and 55 mm. The most reliable guide is the first number engraved on the inside of the temple of a pair that already suits you.
A: For most models, yes, they come with tinted lenses. The deciding factor is the combination of the frame size and your prescription strength: on the larger models in the range, a lens with a strong prescription becomes noticeably thicker at the edges and makes the pair heavier. We check this on the frame before confirming the order.
A: Category 3 is for everyday use in bright sunlight; category 2 is for moderate light conditions or daytime driving. The models in this collection fall into category 2 or 3 depending on the product code, and this information is provided on the product page. Please do not confuse the two: the category describes the tint of the lens, not its protection against ultraviolet rays.
A: The products in question claim to provide 100 per cent UVA and UVB protection. This characteristic is down to the lens itself and not its tint: a clear lens can block all ultraviolet rays, whilst a very dark lens without a protective coating causes the pupil to dilate without providing any protection. Check the specification on the model you have chosen rather than assuming it applies to the entire range.
A: Aviator, square, rectangular and round shapes, as well as more wraparound styles depending on the model. Rounded shapes are the most common in our selection, followed by square and aviator styles. A round shape softens angular features, whilst a square frame adds structure to a full face.
